Ever since the coffee bean was discovered,
we humans have sought the best way to release the fantastic
flavor and aroma hidden in this hard, green, seed of
the coffee plant. The simple roaster that Jabez Burns
developed in 1858 has not changed much since then. Our
latest German roasting machine, despite its sophisticated
digital controls and shiny new finish, uses the exact
same technology as Burns' original machine. |
After 19 years in the coffee business,
I have developed this simple philosophy, as simple but
meaningful as roasting itself:
• Buy the best beans at fair and honest prices from trusted sources
• Charge a fair and honest price to you, our customers
• Provide the freshest beans by roasting six days per week and publish
the roast date
• Roast each bean variety uniquely to bring out its special flavor.
Or, as Jabez Burns said: "... as it were, you bring out the hidden treasure
in each bean."
And that is our mission, to bring out
the hidden treasure in each and every bean you drink.
